movie
The rides from city to city in the dark van are filled with silence. No one mentions what they've left behind, but for most of them - all but Isabel and Kyle - the most important people in their life are still with them. Isabel never mentions Jesse and the ghost towns they visit fit her like a second skin.

The third week away from home they decide to split up for the day. The pairs wander off and Kyle follows Isabel into an old movie theatre. Halfway into the film Kyle can feel Isabel shaking by his side, sobs slowly becoming audible. He doesn't look at her; one arm snakes around her trembling shoulder and his hand grabs a hold of hers. When he feels nails digging into his skin he squeezes tighter and keeps his grip steady, her weight slowly shifting towards his seat.

destiny
There was a time when Liz thought she could calculate the events that would come in her life. Whenever there was a bump in the road or an unexpected event she'd just change her calculation accordingly. The results would be the same because science was always in her favor. And then a head of blonde curls made her believe that everything was indeed predictable but not on her predicament. It was all stars aligning and ancient prophecies. And she'd made Liz believe her.

But in the end they'd both been wrong. Liz knows now that it's about choices. And because Tess had made the wrong ones Liz had a chance with Max again. Liz planned on making better choices now; because nothing was written in the stars, and there was no formula for success. If she wanted things to work out, she'd have to make them work.
